In 2009, we lived in California and I was a preschool special ed teacher. I took my first solo travel trip, published my very first article, and had a second job at @lululemon. Working at lululemon showed me the power of possibility and I set goals to be a full-time writer, wake up whenever I wanted, have time to walk the dogs/practice yoga/run whenever I wanted, and be a part of a like-minded community.

In 2019, I have all of that and more, thanks to @hero1982, @shannonmarylove, @marnie_quinn, @collazoprojects, @kindnessyoga and so many others who believed in me along the way 💜
.
This year taught me that we can get really caught up in the moment, but if we step back and look at things from a wider lens, we can see how far we’ve really come.

Can’t wait to see what the next 10 years hold ✨

Yesterday I discovered that the @norfolkbotanicalgarden is within walking distance from the airport! It covers 175 acres and has so many beautiful plants and trees (and butterflies!). I love wildflowers so much and they had an entire field of them. It’s definitely worth a visit if you find yourself at the airport with some time to kill 🌼
